“In documents accused kidnapper Phillip Garrido presented to the FBI, the man who reportedly confessed to abducting and holding Jaycee Lee Dugard for 18 years claims the ability to control sound with his mind….Garrido writes that by using religion he was able to resist the urge to continue to be a sexual predator while he says he obtained special powers to allow him to make others hear voices.
“Because of my background I began to examine the issues of how certain behaviors cause a great deal of pain in myself and those who are victimized by this behavior especially our family and my wife,” Garrido wrote. “Building from those personal experiences I prepared a way to deal with those issues in my own mind.” (KRON 4)
